WELCOME THE CRT WEBPAGE

Here you can find information on the use of CRT. If you need assistance please contact Brian Baughman or Michael Sutherland.

CRT Introduction

CRT is a program for tracking ultra-high energy cosmic-rays through magnetic fields while ignoring losses. The goal of CRT is to provide the community with a fast magnetic tracking codebase, while giving users an adaptable framework on which they can add arbitrary magnetic fields ideal for exploring the effects of those fields on the trajectories of ultra-high energy cosmic-rays. CRT accomplishes the goal of minimal computaiton using an adaptive runge-kutta integration algorithm to numerically solve the equations of motion for an arbitrarily charged ultra-high energy cosmic-ray through an arbitrary magnetic field.

The CRT framework was written by Brian Baughman and Michael Sutherland while at the Ohio State University. Additional GMF models and framework features were included by MS and Azadeh Keivani while at Louisiana State University.
